eBay second quarter to take hit from outage

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 13 (Reuters) - Online auction house eBay Inc. said second quarter revenues will be about $3 million to $5 million lower on the fallout from a nearly 22 hour outage on its Internet site on Friday.

EBay said a failure in software from Sun Microsystems Inc. caused its service to go down at 1950 PDT/ 2250 EDT/0250 GMT on Thursday. The site returned to service at 1725 PDT on Friday.

Reminds me of the joke about
getting older. There are two initial
