James, What happens in Kosovo with the KFOR Forces IMO is partly dependent upon Milosevic keeping a firm grip on power in Belgrade. If he loses grip, then expect Yugoslavian Military Commanders to feel free to act upon their own intuitions- such as halting the withdrawal from Kosovo. Be aware though that this time KFOR does not face a rag-tag rebel force like SFOR Force in Bosnia.

They faced regular -and motiviated- Yugoslavian Army units properly trained, and likely to be secretly- and heavily- rearmed by the Russians.... And then there's the Russians in Pristina.....

And remember that the Yugoslavian Units do not consider themselves beaten- They retreated at the behest of their Patron-State Russia....

What happened to the Serbs is very similar to what happened to the Germans at the end of WWI at Versailles- and may unfortunately trigger similar feelings of treachery and backstabbing amongst Serbian Nationalists....
