Health/Medical Writers

ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BW HealthWire)--June 14, 1999--EntreMed, Inc.
(NASDAQ:ENMD) today stated that it believes that last week's decrease
in its stock price may be attributable to press reports that
misconstrued the Company's recent filing of a shelf registration
statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
On June 8th, EntreMed filed a shelf registration statement
permitting certain holders of EntreMed warrants to convert them into
common stock that could be traded in the marketplace. These warrants
were issued prior to June 1996 when EntreMed had its Initial Public
Offering.
The Company also stated that none of its executives, or
continuing directors, have any present intention to sell any shares
pursuant to this registration statement.
Rockville, MD-based EntreMed, Inc. The Angiogenesis Company (TM),
