"CBs have owned gold for a long long time - they don't buy because of fear of inflation or sell because of fear of deflation. Individual investors may well do this - but RR made an unfounded statement to support a thesis, to fit a prejudice. CBs of younger nations bought gold as a reserve asset to catch up with the more established nations."

Why did CB buy and sell gold?
What has change from then to now?

Start with those questions.
Can't confirm nothing today, my access to the FED site are down. Ask tomorrow.

But answer this eon old question:
What proof are you willing to accept?

PS: I've never meet a gold bug that would accept any proof, are you a gold bug, or bull?

I still see gold hitting $260 next summer. But this is too far away to predict when.
