Not bad but written from a woman's point of view. The Seattle J.P. Beaumont you need to read from the first. The chararecter builds upon every book and it isn't dated.

Patricia Cromwell author, Kay Scarpetta the heroine, she's a Virginia corornor. Her niece is a lesbian FBI agent who is good with computers. Patricia is a self proclaimed lesbian. Damn she's cute.
