Thanks for the replies re accounting for trading, Eric and Steve.

I guess there is no really good dedicated portfolio tracking software.

Those active traders who do keep close tabs on their trading seem to use custom spreadsheets and/or Quicken.

<Eric>If you have trouble keeping track of your current positions during the day in realtime, then I believe you are holding more positions than you should be. You need to be able to give each position all of the attention it needs or your trading will certainly deteriorate. Just my opinion, and maybe I misunderstood your post.


I am happy to say I have a tough time keeping track, but I do it anyway. It just takes more time and effort than it should.
