>>"I haven't heard of a single Brocade long (except for Roy of course)."

i have heard of one (via pm). to get the shares at the ipo price, this person was "forced" to buy an additional $25k worth at the open.

my apologies if this person didn't want this info public. i would have asked their permission first but i forgot who sent it to me. i was surprised to hear it myself and thought others might like to know.

George,

<<I think it is conceivable that HDS and Sun may be 50% of the market. KJ what do you think?>>

I think this percentage game is going to be a moving target. SUN, HP, EMC, STK, Clariion, HDS, Dell, CPQ ,IBM will be among the top 10 IMO. The rankings of these companies will change over time. IBM can move up quickly if it stops messing around with FIO. Dell and CPQ can move up if they don't kill each other first.
And, out of these companies, only STK has a legitimate OEM with Brocade, the others buy from Brocade, yes, but not OEM. They also buy from Ancor...so what. DEC (owned by CPQ) had an 'agreement' with Brocade, not OEM. DEC btw has since fallen by the way side...a wrong move by CPQ. And, nobody, nobody will overtake SUN for a long long time. I said it before and I say that again. Some of these so-called Tier2 OEM that Ancor has may end up in the top 10 someday. It is going to be an interesting time from here on out...not that it was boring the last six months.<g> We have come a long way. I'm enjoying every bit of it.

KJ

George,

<< If this guy could really care less which direction Ancor stock goes - he wouldn't take the time to post a message. >>

great post.

as kerry just stated, who cares what happened before, bc all old cause for slander is gone now and to put cherries on top of the slew of little OEMS recently won, Ancor has pulled in HDS and SUNW, who, EVEN a Brocade insider, admits is the #1 OEM to have (as far as volume switch shipments go). No matter what anyone says, Ancor IS going to grow Revenues at a nice clip over the next year. Last I heard, that's why some people like to buy stocks...GROWTH. ;-)

<< I haven't heard of a single Brocade long (except for Roy of course). Where are they? >>

i have just a hundred shares at the IPO price. i don't consider myself a proud Brocade holder though. Just one who is content. No offense to Roy, but I have a small history with hearing Bruce (the old CEO) lie about Ancor at a small conference. still kind of stings and those comments along with some guy from Vixel made me call up Ancor management a long time ago and freak out a little bit. ;-) i'm very proud of Ancor's management lately.

all imho,
pigboy
