Is it possible to make money from such egalitarianism? How many customers would there be for the Glide licenses? nVidia, Matrox and all the TNT card makers don't add up to much of a customer base. Glide is a marketable asset. It sets the voodoo products up as the only video card that is 100% compatible with current gaming software. That's important when your competitor can claim a more advanced feature set. To turn the argument around: if it wasn't worth hoarding why would Creative want to 'steal' it. I imagine that such issues will be dramatically played out in the Gates vs Jobs soapy this Wednesday. I swear, that Noah Wylie is the spitting image of Jobs. The actor playing Gates is less convincing but I guess that people with faces like Gates are hard to find down at the actors guild. tnt.turner.com Peter S
