Granted, real time inventory may not work however there are specific "problem" items that Dell knows are difficult securing, and that should be indicated on their web site. Many times I've had orders delayed had I only known to choose a different hard drive, or version of MicroSoft Office. The bottom line is, if the salesman have this info, so should the web site if Micheal in fact wants the web site's volume to ever eclipse live salesman. Personally, I HATE salesman, as the consistantly screw up my orders, so any tool to make my online experience more comprehensive, is my hope for Dells future.
