James,

Are you sure the elephants are leaving? Not just taking a summer break?

Glenn

The elephants are leaving. The real skill in investing is knowing where they're going next. That, is my next dilemma.

When you figure that one out H James, let me know.

James -- they were trying to stampede into Japan this morning but the MOF got out a chair, a whip, a bazooka, some flare guns and an assortment of cannons and openned fire. The elephants retreated and are eyeing their new-found object of affection. My contact on the yen in Tokyo told me the dollar/yen would trade 120 to 125 for the next year -- and trust me on this James, he is the man to know. I pressed him repeatedly on 'why' this would be so. He said, quite simply, that is what the Japanese government wants and they will do everything they can to get it -- and still the elephants are stamping their feet. We will see who wins this battle, but the first serious skirmish was this morning in Tokyo.
