>> Also recently I decided to have it out with my parents... boy you should have seen those fights. I really gave them a piece of my mind... scared them half to death. Nobody in my family messes with me anymore and I'm aloud to come and go as I please. I love my nieces and nephews so I'm happy that I'm able to see them now.<<

You did the right thing (how would I know right?) seeking professional help and confronting your parents. Indian parents seem to respect their kids as adults once you put them in their place. I say this tongue and cheek of course. It's very hard to generalize. Most parents love their children unconditionally. There are always disputes and tiffs. It's amazing what a good psychiatrist can do. We used a pediatric psychiatrist to try to figure out why my then three year old would have uncontrollable fits from time to time. We discovered that it was due to me working in my office from home, believe it not. He would get confused as to why daddy won't play with him whenever I was in my office and he would try to woo me out. Once I started to leave work at work (or work when he can't see me-late at night only), all problems went away.

I guess the bottom line in all of this is that ....India and its
people from previous generations, are going through great change. Watching India from here is eye opening and the reason why I am following this thread. There will be huge opportunities there. How these opportunities translate to profits is what I would like to determine (as well as others I'm sure).

Best Regards
