Steven - Or am I down in my cups?

No, but whether W-CDMA or CDMA-2000 is better from a cost, or data-transfer perspective is, IMO, immaterial to Europe. They have another agenda. And as for whether the eventually deployed version of DS will be better than MC, I suspect that the difference will be small. For instance, I'd be surprised if they didn't eventually go with turbo coding in DS mode. The big advantage of CDMA-2000 is that you can deploy a CDMAOne system now and know it can be relatively cheaply upgraded later.

Dr J holding a lunch meeting here in UK today, any questions?

Sorry, I should have posted this last week...anyway for you insomniacs out there and Maurice, are there any questions I can forward? Please note it would be industry related (telecoms as is my industry) and not financial.
