Within a short span of nine months after entering the Indian market, Hyundai Motor India (HMI) is setting its eyes on the information superhighway. In an another three months' time, Indians will have the option of buying the Santro online.

Simultaneously with the website launch, the company's 709 strong dealer network will get connected. Moreover, right from the beginning the computer systems network at the dealers' end has been kept uniform with standardized software so that the entire franchisee network can go online together and get connected for e-commerce.

The Web presence will be a part of HMI's latest strategy of emerging as the technology leader in the automobile market.
