Steve, I'm a QCharts user. (I have no affiliation with Quote.com.) Excellent program. Very fast, solid datafeed. Datafeed automatically jumps to a new server it goes down. Very low overhead on the data - about 1/10 of the competitors. As a test, I opened 12 Level II windows, two Island Book windows, 10 other charts, and 4 Time & Sales windows data throughput was 117 bytes per second. You can download Tick-by-Tick data for about 2 years; one minute to yearly data for several years. User interface is very good - Smooth, consistent and great use of space. Charts can change from Tick to Yearly data by selecting a dropdown. Charts include line, OHLC and candle. Regarding TA, the number of studies is pretty good - Including: MA, Bolinger, MACD, Donchian, Momentum, Directional Movement, Stochastic, ROC, RMI, Volume, OBV. Various line draw including trend lines, rays, Fibo and Regression Channels. Alerts are pretty good, getting better. No alerts on indicators yet, just data. Integrated Level II and IslandBook. Single and multi-quote sheets with about 100 user-definable indicators (everything from hi/low/open/close to volume at the ask to fundamentals information). They have a unique function that I like - a little "Sym" push-button in the charts(actually 2 in charts), LII, IslandBook, T&S and single quotes that allows you to lock or unlock the symbol for that window. For instance, if you have 10 different charts (different timeframes, indicator, studies, etc) and all buttons are "Green", you can enter a symbol in the "Symbol" text box and all charts will change to that symbol simultaneously. Click the button in any chart to "Red" and the window is locked for that symbol. I have two small line charts that are locked to Nasdaq 100 and NYSE Advance/Decline. Finally, for the charts, there is also a little "Intv" button. Similar to the "Sym" button, this locks the interval for that window. E.g., the user can select an interval in the "Interval" dropdown. All charts with Intv buttons on "Green" change simultaneously. All charts with Intv buttons on "Red" will will be locked at the old interval (until the user clicks to "Green" and resets the interval). They are working with Preferred Capital and CyberCorp to integrate Order Entry into QCharts. Currently, this just means that you click on LevelII and select order long or short, etc. Should improve quickly. Technical and marketing folks are excellent! The post on the QCharts thread here and on oneList@QCharts.com (mail-based communication). Customer Support used to be horrible. Now it's improved dramatically; still needs some improvement. Finally, for developers they have a developers tool kit. I'm developing a scanning application for Momentum trading called "StockScanner". It monitors realtime data for a list of my preferred stocks. It's not for sale (yet). Hope this helps. Regards, Dan.
