Satish, I am afraid I have to say I am not surprised . The GoI doesn't seem to worry about pollution at all. Almost the only positive story I have seen in this regard is the Delhi (not GoI. the local administration), banning new cars that don't match European emission standards.

Is Maneka still Environment minister? She is more interested in rescuing stray cats than in controlling pollution.
