Joe Magazine is now out. I assume it is in Starbucks shops now but, unfortunately, it's just barely on the web. The site at joemag.com is little more than an ad for the magazine with a table of contents. Only 7 of the 27 features listed in the contents are available on the website. The others are paper-only.

The design is pleasant in a laid-back Wired sort of way. The tone seems to similar to Salon (without the politics) and all of the many paper mags they emulate.

The site features a store locator that will tell you where the nearest five Starbucks stores are located. I tried Butte, Montana (since I know there's not a store there), but it still managed to point out the locations of five stores even though the closest is three hours away in Spokane. When I put in my own Seattle address, it told me the locations of five stores within eight blocks of my apartment. (But missed three others within the same area.)
