Glad to hear from you again. I missed you during the weekend. You might enjoy bantering with some of the new radicals who have invaded this thread.

Chancellor Schroeder sounds a great deal like Clinton. He gets elected on the basis of some sinister charisma and thinks that he has achieved divinity, and can do anything he wants in and to the whole world with impunity.

I never got the impression that anyone blamed the Germans for involving us in Kosovo. I certainly do not. I want you to know that most Americans, even the veterans of the European campaign in WW II do not bear any resentment toward the German soldiers who were respected and tenacious adversaries, for what Hitler and the storm troopers did. I have seen historical productions where both American and German veterans participated in the commentary and they were very complimentary of each other. A lot of people do not know that most of the soldiers and citizens of Berlin came running to surrender to the Americans because if the inhumane treatment they knew they would receive from the Russians.
