Nice post Robert. If Walker is successful upholding his think tank's patents, he could be the Edison of the the current phase of the information age. The PTO has been particularly generous in issuing patents lately for "business methods". It will be interesting to see how well these hold up. I have some suspicion that the PTO has gotten to be a bit politically influenced; this is a critical stage in business formation and the U.S. will benefit greatly if we have strong patent position v. foreign competition - just my speculation. Regardless, these patents could eventually prove to be very influential in determining profits.
