This stock is reminding me a lot of asnd some time ago. People are posting that the company is dead money yet the new customers are being signed up at a wonderful clip.

3Com and NTT DoCoMo Team to Advance Wireless Data Services for
the Palm Computing Platform in Japan
BUSINESS WIRE - 10:16 a.m. Jun 14, 1999 Eastern

Companies Will Optimize the Palm Computing Platform for
Japan's Largest Wireless Information Network

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 14, 1999--
3Com Corporation (Nasdaq:COMS) and NTT Mobile Communications
Network, Inc., (NTT DoCoMo), Japan's largest mobile communications
operator today announced a strategic technical and business alliance to
develop new wireless services for the Palm Computing Platform. Plans
include creating and developing solutions and services to expand the usage
of Palm Computing platform devices over wireless networks in Japan.
The companies will work to integrate 3Com's world-leading handheld
computing and wireless application technologies with NTT DoCoMo's
wireless network infrastructure. This joint research and development is
intended to bring the benefits of instant remote access to important
personal, business and Internet information to an increasing number of
Japanese handheld computing users.

For example, 3Com's breakthrough network-independent Web
Clipping(sm) technology for wireless Web and intranet access will be
optimized for NTT DoCoMo's network to enable delivery of both
consumer-level and mission-critical business information to users of
wirelessly connected Palm Computing platform products. This
announcement is integral with 3Com's strategy to build on its worldwide
leadership in the handheld computing industry and enhance the wireless
capabilities of the Palm Computing platform through best-of-breed global
technology alliances.

"By working with NTT DoCoMo we are ideally positioned to help drive
the market for wireless information services and solutions in Japan," said
Robin Abrams, president of Palm Computing and senior vice president of
3Com. "Our joint efforts will help insure that our Palm Computing
platform is optimized to leverage the power of Japan's largest wireless
network infrastructure to bring a great new generation of wireless
capabilities to our rapidly growing customer base there."

"The Palm Computing platform is quickly becoming popular in the
Japanese handheld computing market. 3Com's strong position in the
worldwide handheld industry combined with the openness and
extensibility of the Palm Computing platform made them an ideal
technology and business partner for us," said Shuichi Shindo, senior vice
president, NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc. "With the great
intuitiveness and unequalled functionality of the broad range of Palm
Computing platform products, it is clear that the platform is a perfect
match for our mobile computing solutions."

The Palm Computing platform continues to gain momentum in Japan.
3Com recently introduced a Japanese language version of the Palm OS(tm)
software to enable rapid development and deployment of localized
business and consumer applications for Palm Computing platform
products. In February of this year IBM released the first product to run on
this version of the Palm OS, the Japanese release of the Palm Computing
platform-based IBM WorkPad PC companion.

The Palm Computing platform is the foundation for the world's leading
family of handheld computing products from 3Com including the Palm
III(tm), Palm IIIx(tm), Palm V(tm), and the new Palm VII(tm) connected
organizers, in addition to a broad range of products from Palm
Computing's strategic partners. These products include the IBM WorkPad
PC companion, the Franklin-Covey Electronic DayPlanner, the Symbol
STP 1500 with built-in barcode scanning capabilities for vertical markets,
and the upcoming pdQ Smartphone from QUALCOMM. Palm Computing
platform products already hold a 72 percent share of the worldwide
handheld personal companion market (IDC, November, 1998). About
