I believe that a large part of the sell off is due to margin. Can't find the statistic but it was something like this: 2/3 of available margin was in use in April. Now, please don't quote me on that. I simply read it somewhere here in SI and I believed it.

So, my opinion is simply that as the Inets fall the margin calls come in then more selling takes place. Then people try to buy in again at lower prices (on margin again) and the cycle continues.
