I respectfully disagree. Companies are under no obligation to pre-
announce their earnings, whether good or bad. It is all too easy to sue in this country, and many companies preannounce in hopes of staving off such lawsuits. The way I see it, the only difference is the stock tanks a few weeks earlier at the preannouncement rather than at the earnings date.

Short-term traders who try to buy up prior to earnings just to unload after can get killed. That is not investing, that is gambling.

I don't know what your situation is, but if you are a CMGI shareholder don't worry. The company and the stock will do fine. You have to ignore these daily (monthly!) fluctuations and hold for the long-term.
