Sun, egalitarianism may be overstating your meaning when you said "easy licensing". I took that to mean cheap rather than free but it would still mean selling it for less than it is worth to 3dfx. Which is why I think the small financial pay-off makes it a bad idea. Glide's value IMO is like those $500 tickets to the 1st screening of Star Wars Ep.1. It's only worth that much because no-one else has it. What if nVidia implemented Glide and id it faster. That would be a disaster for 3dfx. As far as Gates & Jobs go, I would never want to debate that here - or anywhere. But I thought it might be fun to see what Hollywood can do with this peice of recent history. Peter S
