Howdy Pals, Peach thanks for that great Historical Photograph! Pix like those must be rare. I remember hearing about folks taking cameras into Woodstock and snapping 'em but then they'd develop as blanks. One of The Legendary Mysteries of Woodstock, talk of ufo abductions, subliminal programming behind the music, and The Indian Rope Trick hoodwinking Half A Million People was going round at the
time. But possibly after a perspective of years, we could come up with a more reality-based idea of what caused such a phenomena to occur if we really put our Heads together.
I was at Woodstock for a few hours only, drove up there that night it was bad in pouring rain with a carload of friends. We'd come straight from a club in upstate NY. I've never liked crowds, there was no music, food, or toilets; so I left soaking wet after not too long a time. Something I've often regretted is leaving Woodstock that night. Saw it at its worst and skedaddled, didn't wait around for "Let The Sunshine" to happen. Your picture is awesome.
Sorry you had a bad run in the stocks awhile back. Hope that won't make you fearful of Making Pronouncements!!!! There's nary a soul on here who hasn't been so way wrong it'd be hilarious if hardearned money weren't riding on it, on more than one occasion. Hope there was lemonade to be squeezed for you from that lemon, you know like when something good happens that wouldn't have happened if the bad thing hadn't put you in that place and time?! Peach (Knock On Wood) Good Luck with stocks this time - "Dis Must Be Da Place" - Techride Is A Lucky Board (Knock On Wood Again).
I was an art teacher too, on and off for years. My last job teaching art I was written up as a sub; which I did too when the teacher left some classwork to be done. There was no art budget in the school system so with me at least the kids got an art lesson sometimes when their regular teacher was out. I loved the job, the kids energy and my liking of them was returned & we had fun, but then went into doing home-office work instead, like you going into computers...the money was better and my time is mostly my own. Once I got a computer hooked it up to an ISP I was like "Strap Me Into This Chair Before I Take Off Like A Rocket" when I saw the fabulous info about stocks online, the colors and designs, and the way the internet makes it go all transparent when links are clicked. So, working at home goes along well with being able to pay close attention to my stocks When I Want To. I still don't want to today. Haven't looked, not considering any buys, no sells, all activities cancelled Let Them Puppies Be. Eyes Closed, Holding Onto The Bar For The Techride.
Pals, please let me know When I Can Look Now. Hope It Won't Be Long.
Third Friday's in four days, huh?!
