Zeem -- Assuming they knew what the bottom line was far enough in advance to make a meaningful preannouncement, what difference would that have made in the market response? Do you believe that the stock would not have declined as drastically? I doubt it. Besides, I doubt if failure to preannounce is, in itself, sufficient grounds for a shareholder lawsuit.

The problem is that earnings are irrelevant for CMGI. To produce earning they need to sell stock - it's simply the only way of producing income for this company. With prices being as low as they are OF COURSE they are not selling. Problem is those idiots who go out and sell because of this. People who don't have a clue.

Well, sorry for the mood, but frankly I'm bleeding to death here. But I still don't blame CMGI.
