Satish:Your disagreement is well taken but I wasn't arguing that this sort of thing doesn't happen at all but rather it wasn't a national pastime was my point.

Satish, First of all, let me say that you have a beautiful sounding name.(I hope I pronounce it correctly!)Sah-teesh Your thread was exactly the point I was trying to make. Sweeping things under the rug because it is embarrassing isn't the answer. Then the problem never gets fixed.The young women on television decided to have her baby girl even though the family ostracized her.She wanted her baby daughter to LIVE,dammit! I hope to God her life has merit today. what a STRONG person!I still can picture her...lonely,frightened,worried, but clutching that tiny little bundle of joy on her breast!God help her. SjS
