Mike, They cannot take a 25% hit in their stock price, especially trying to do a deal without "collars". I think they are being told the deal sucks, and it will not be a deal for very long. Time for plan B. Those of us with LT stock are somewhat concerned about this. I still trust QWST management with the LT health of this company, but they clearly have to read the signals now to continue to have my faith. I usually don't mind a ST hit for a LT gain, but it's pretty clear that many don't see the deal as accretive, or as synergistic as portrayed. Why buy FRO's (really QWST's) dark fiber back for a premium? I think the rebound will be nice, when it happens (without the deal baggage). Yes, VTSS is smokin, and I sold TXCC this morning for a over 6 point gain. Wondering when to exit VTSS...thoughts?
