Can someone please explain to me why e-bay keeps crashing? I've seen news reports that they are having trouble with their servers. Are those servers running Microsoft software? If so, what is it about the software that causes them to keep going down? I understand Sun makes some pretty good server products, maybe e-bay should try one of those. Or, maybe they already have. Could someone set the record straight and to what, exactly, is going on and why? I'm one of many e-bay customers, and I'm very pissed off right now.
