I just lost my job after an ugly bout of office politics. Tell me about nothing left to lose. Listening to the song again. (And that was my favorite line of the song.) Also a lot of Alan Parson's Project and Muddy Waters (for the blues) and Bach (for the cool comfort of mathematics) and the Allman Brothers (for the memories)and anything by Annie Lennox (for her nerve as well as her voice) and Beethoven for the moments of magic of the human spirit that make one want to stand on a crag and reach for heaven itself. And The Dead. And my work, which is part of my being and part of my independent person, the person who can suggest to Len that selection process is vital in avoiding the kind of woman he postulates on this thread. I thank all of you of you on this thread and on others who are supporting me during this time. You are all living proof that cyberspace is as real as one's next-door neighbor. Thanks, stan!
