Joe - I just gleaned a little insight as to why NSM is dumping Cyrix and its competition with Intel/AMD in the PC CPU arena.

Apparently the Cyrix MXi finally was finished.

One company - also in the CPU business - received a PR233 MXi sample made by NSM.

I don't have any information if it was a 0.25 or a 0.18 micron process.

But the PR233 was a dead give away.

The MXi only ran at 200 MHz with a 66 MHz FSB !

With performance like that, NSM had to face the music - not only couldn't they keep up with AMD and Intel, their new product couldn't even keep up with the OLD MediaGX part !
