Re these guys must think that public is retarded or something?

Hi Mohan,

Not sure about retarded, but they definitely think that we cannot do basic math.

To sell 2.5 billion dollars worth of gold and invest it in US Treasuries will yield 150 million per year.

The interest on the 200 billion dollars of outstanding debt probably runs 10 billion a year.

So after it is all over, what have they accomplished except letting some shorts off the hook and flowing 150 million a year to the holders of the debt. Probably the IMF itself will be paid back for some of the bad debt they are holding.

The poor countries will still be in over their heads and will now be sitting on a bunch of closed gold mines.

I am getting worked up enough to write another letter!
