I don't see the correlation and I would not recommend that anyone purchase speculative shares on margin or with one's last 5 bucks, as you put it. However the overwhelming negative psychology merely tends to reinforce my point that a major rally could soon begin.

That's a bit like being in default and spending your last $5 on a lottery ticket. Wishful thinking may keep you from being depressed but it isn't any more real than the hypothetical profits these companies might make in five or ten years - if they learn to spin gold from flax.
