I believe Intel has its reasons for not going the K7(or Alpha)
route. Somehow, I have the feeling that K7 is in the same
league as Alpha, speed at all cost. But that may not be what
Intel want. Remembered that Intel deliberately leave out the
Alpha IP in its DEC deal ?

I recommended long ago that AMD sell off their plant, hire out their chips, and invest the proceeds in INTC.
