"If any of the internet stocks comes back
IT WILL BE AOL!! GO AOL, SCREW ATHM!!!!"

Emotions and investments don't mix. If you mix the two, you end up doing things like this:

Message 10096231

good luck with AOL (I own some too)
Jay

You guys are killing me!! First of all, how intelligent does one have to be to know that this drop was was not an ATHM problem, it was a market and more specifically a sector problem! To think ATHM would be @ $200 pre-split was not even close to unreasonable. ATHM had and still has more potential than 90% of all tech stocks to rise to the top. Had the market stayed healthy, ATHM would be above $200 per share today. No one knew for sure when or even if the net sector would take such a nasty turn for the worse. For anyone to say, "I told you so", is ridiculous.
To further prove their ignorance, many of these psychics are either shorting or selling ATHM in the 80's. Post split ATHM will be trading in the $40 range! Are you guys hoping it will drop to $20? What is more ridiculous, thinking post split it will drop to $20 or saying it will go to $100? I have probably bought and sold this stock more times than anyone else on this thread. Sometimes it has been to my advantage, and sometimes not. This is a very difficult sector to try and time. Anyone whom claims that they can do it, is just fooling themselves. If any have lost money with this sector, they can only blame themselves. NOT ATHM....!
