I agree. I currently have 4 recent IPOs I'm holding through their 30 or 60 day periods. As a group, they are a bunch of losers. I think I'll pass on DVD Express and Viant too. There are only so many blue chip private companies left. I just can't understand how a consulting firm as large as Viant, can run in the red as much as they do. The business model for a consulting firm is 'make a profit right away because you don't have to burn money on any R&D." Why would a services firm even go public in a situation like that unless their investors (IMS, Kleiner, Mohr, Tech Cross, and Trident) are forcing them to do it so that they can recover their $31M investment before the bubble bursts.
