Because stocks only go up over time and despite many opinions to the contrary here, there is nothing wrong with this view. Many bears thought stocks were overpriced when the DOW was 6500, 8500, 9500... If the DOW were truly overvalued...let's say at 8500, then we would have never made it to 10,500+. People love conspiracy theories. Eg. JFK assasination, UFO coverups, rigged indexes. It's best not to surrender to these theories. Buy the dip. Let's hope its gets here soon as I'm itching to buy. If they can sell off Dell to the $20's I will be estatic about opening up my wallet some more.
