Precisely -- and that is still possible. Government intervention is never a sure win. If nothing else we should have learned that last year.

Which, of course, will have nothing to do with inflation. That's why it is important for the CB's to step in now that the long bond yield is an incorrect sentiment measure of inflation thus correcting the excesses of the market.
