AOL will use new Inktomi search tools
America Online (AOL: news, msgs) said will incorporate services of Inktomi (INKT: news, msgs) in a new search product to be offered later this year. Inktomi will provide AOL's Web search with advanced features, such as photo, multi-media search, and foreign language search. The announced agreement expands the relationship between the two companies established in April 1998 in which AOL agreed to use Inktomi's Traffic Serve network cache software.
