I manage a computer support center.
Sometimes our users get fired or leave the company without dropping off the keys to their laptop locks.

You would think that it would be simple to break off the lock from the laptop chassis. It isn't. People think that the chassis is just made of plastice.

In reality, there is a reenforced steel spine on the inside of the laptop that holds the locking mechanism firmly in place.
