I'd say forget about it. Who knows when the fed standards will change? Then you own nothing. Plus with your health problems do you want to tempt chance? I do so hope you find a neat place. It may take time.

Check the real estate records on sales of comparables. A real estate agent can do it easier than you, but find the ratios of salesprices to assessed value of the last houses in the development to be sold. Good luck. Offer them 20% off to start. This is distressed merchandise.
