Morgan, " But if they were allowed into long distance, wouldn't they have to move quickly to obtain a nationwide fiber optic backbone in order to be competitive in that market? Perhaps LVLT?' Perhaps. But how about this one: Williams (WCG) and Metromedia (MFNX) just formed a nationwide alliance that gives each access to the routes of the other. It fits this bill to a T. Well, maybe T is the wrong letter here.
