MATSUSHITA & MSFT launch a joint Internet site to promote their services
MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO LTD and Microsoft Co, the Japanese unit of MICROSOFT CORP, said on Monday they would launch a joint Internet site to promote their services. The portal, named "Panasonic Hi-HO powered by MSN," will give users greater access to the services of Japanese Internet provider Panasonic Hi-HO and to the Microsoft Network (MSN), including online shopping and a search engine. The portal does not yet have an Internet address. Panasonic Hi-HO, a unit of Matsushita Electric, has 210,000 subscribers. (Reuters 03:19 AM ET 06/14/99)
