This would certainly play to MRV's strength. Anything that promotes the 'downstream' deployment of optics to the campus/enterprise is good for MRV sales; both our own & our 'optical' customers. The CLEC's, that MFNX would be pumping up to sell direct optical connects to the 'enterprise' via their dark fiber, would be looking to deploy products such as the 'nifty high tech stuff' MRV developes to serve the campus/metro. Demand growth for such would grow exponentially as the CO's become open to competition. The optical buildout to serve the metro campuses/enterprise would in essence be, 'given the green light'.

This would effectively open up a huge potential market that currently does not exist. And 'a light goes on'! Holy sh_t batman wouldn't that be Great!;-)

Keep the 'good news' coming, Frank...;-)

<<You must have a very powerful PC for it to reach all the way around the world.>>

Of course it's powerful. I'm looking at the brand name - "Great Wall" for both the desktop unit and monitor. How could anything named that not be powerful? It does have an "Intel Inside, Pentium II" sticker on the outside also. Looks like a 24X CD-Rom too.

I will be back home later in the week.

This Internet access at the hotel costs me 40 Yuan ($5) for each 15 minutes, so I have to keep my connect time short.

THREAD,

I know that you folks have been doing some comparative analyses on optical products.

I don't know if this has been posted here yet. If you haven't seen it yet, go to the

There is an associated "Build Your Own" DWDM Matrix half way down the page:
