I don't disagree with what you said, except to remind you that Ampex is two companies in one (actually more than that). They are an old line disk/tape company, which was valued at about $2.25 a share except during tax selling season in late 1998, and also an internet company. Thus as internet valuations get squeezed out of stocks, Ampex will bump up against its old valuations which should provide firm support.

Personally I'm not looking for much on the 28th. I am looking forwards to the June financials however. First of all, that will provide us with a good look at the business models of the two internut subsidiaries. Secondly it will provide an opportunity for Ampex Data Systems and Micronet to show some sales growth of their own.

Only after seeing the June financials will we hope to see analyst coverage and new institutional buying, but eventually both will be needed to trigger a rise into double digits.

As for weak hands selling at this point, who would be selling now? That is a move I can't understand, so they would have to be awfully weak hands indeed, or they know something I don't know.
