Guys, Check out Ace's - has some good info about K7 and K6-2 400. aceshardware.com I am not too thrilled about Athlon but it appears that the launch has commenced. Chuck

Scumbria, <I have heard rumors that AMD already has a single latch design which runs faster than 1GHz!> This would be a great achievement!:) Let see, for a clocked S-R flip-flop, the signal needs to pass 3 NAND gates in basic implementation, so at 0.9ns cycle time their gates must be as fast as 300ps !!! No wonder all these talks about 500-MHz K7 are just plain foils. Ask our honorable "expert" Yousef, he would agree with me :) Regards, - Ali
