To the Thread:

I hope no one is in a position for a margin call,but if you are,
instead of selling the Stock you can consider selling long term
Calls or even Leaps on your position.

Selling your stock on margin will in general add 30% of the net sale
to your account(Internet stocks will add more depending on the margin requirement.Selling Calls will add 100% of your proceeds to your account.
You can therefore increase your net return from the stock and Calls.
If you don't need the funds for a Margin Call,you can use the proceeds from the call to buy another downtrodden stock,or buy other Calls.
