These guys have been beneficiaries of the mania, and have performed well despite falling in love with nonce stocks:

fool.com

Is Amazon's retail business going to be worth more than $15 billion in five years? As a customer who has spent almost $15 billion at Amazon already (it seems), I'd say yes. As an objective Foolanalyst, I'd say yes, too. (Otherwise, why would we own the stock?)

Will they be among the first or last to be humbled by this market? They are exhibiting more than a little complacency about this inet decline. It's amusing to compare it with the days following the Iomega collapse:

fool.com

Time to put in my vote for what I expect to be a significantly higher stock a year from now. Iomega today trades at less than two times 1996 projected sales... that's what I care about. I know, I know, it's not worth $5 5/8 points tomorrow, never has been, and never will be. And I'm glad it isn't. Because that's not the way I think about investing.

In a bear market, will we wag our fingers at those who marketed investment as being fun?

AA

Peter Anderson of AXP on cnbc yesterday talking about 6.75% maybe 7% going forward.

~~I haven't heard a single mkt kiddie call for 7% or higher.~~
