Is this a fresh perspective on merger? ..........NAW!!
_______________

Qwest (QWST 34 1/8 -10 3/4) tanked in reaction to hostile bid for US West (USW 58 +3 1/8) and Frontier (FRO 57 3/8 +1 15/16)... General perception is that QWST is overpaying... We view this as a short-sided perspective and would use additional weakness as long-term buying opportunity.

I agree on the two versions. I'm in the first also.

<<By the way, I'm in the first catagory since time has proven me to be the worlds worst timer. >>

Thanks for taking over !!

As far as the deal ? The network is about done. We need customers. We are buying them. We'll have big cashflow. I can't imagine QWST making this offer and subjecting the stock price to major shock, without feeling the deal would be approved by the gov't. Also, I'm convinced BLS is involved.
