Ben,

The point is that in the long run cash depreciates almost always (I am in fact tempted to say always as I know not of a single case of 30 year long deflation) but equity appreciates almost always (as I have stated before). Some, of course, are unlucky and invest at the market top. But, given that market tops are rare and hence hard to pinpoint, the risk of that is not that different from having a auto accident with serious injuries(check the statistics out). I drive to work every day w/o any worries, however.
