Being a chronic wanderer, I can only say that Texas has "leased" me.

Texas is a wonderful state, by far the best Ive lived in thus far. But it will only have me for another, at the very most, five years. If that. My travellin boots get a'itchin, and I gotta "keep truckin." My better half is worse than I, and its pretty hard to keep us in one place for very long. We're already eyeing up Oregon. She's travelled the country even more extensively than I, and was smitten by Oregon. I hate the rain more than I hate the snow, so Im skeptical! In my visit there, the people were very nice, but it is a hotbed of left-of-center convictions, which was fine when I held similiar beliefs, but it may be uncomfortable now. In any case, I'll probably one day end back on the East Coast, no doubt in Virginia, which I love. I do miss a horizon which is broken by green hills. Maybe I should have settled in Austin. ;)
