As I sit here today after 5 years in Korea on hallowed ground that so many wonderful men gave their lives so this country could be free .....and simultaneously I have viewed and reported all forms of fraud, waste and abuse perpretrated by both of these governments as I am sure they cannot remember the first time they sold out!!The men and women who died or were injured physically or emotionally by war did not sell out .they simply did their duty and many paid the ultimate sacrifice!! I have been in the service for over 27 years and in during 2 wars as a non combatant but as a nurse have been at sites where brave selfless men and womwn died so Democracy could be a reality for those who chose it and I am so saddened by our lack of moral leadership by many of the leaders in this world and it is a small world full of a few haves and many, many have nots who look to the freest country for some assistance and we do not always deliver or cannot or will not!!I could care less about politics cause I have always tried to do the job and have made plenty of mistakes and hopefully learned from some of them but our American culture which I hold so dear is coming apart at the seams and I and u and all of us have a duty and an obligation to do everything in our power to facilitate positive change! For me here in Korea it is standing up and saying no to organized crime both American and Korean in the strongest terms possible and I still continue using the guns in DC as i hold them ultimately accountable and I was not about to let my son think that u just follow the status quo and not stand for what u believe!!I say vote your convictions but vote as our children r acting out the pain of our culture and as the Pope recently said America has become a culture of DEATh and we must all problem solve and turn this around and if it takes stronger mental health interventons let us do it as we can support one another and be stronger!!I love my country and not a day goes by that i do not envision the east coast or the west or the south or the north and I miss all the Americans who fill that country but I want strong HONEST leadership not perfection cause none of us r that but the high ground is important and it can mean the difference between life and death for some !!I will never forget those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and they deserve our deepest respect and gratitude!!
